Press before the tour (+ extra)
- 21.3.1989: Daily News from New York, New York, Page 203:"concert tour for Ringo? An epidemic of Beatle-mania may hit the U.S. this year. We hear that Ringo Starr plans a worldwide concert tour that will have him in the States in late summer. Starr and promoter David Fishof met quietly over the weekend in London. Fishof wouldn't comment, but sources claim it's a done deal."
- 30.3.1989: Courier-Post from Camden, New Jersey, Page 48:"Additionally, it looks like Starr will be the first member of the Beatles to play an Atlantic City casino. A highly placed music industry source has confirmed that promoters around the country are being offered a summer tour by a "supergroup" headlined by Starr and consisting of such rock such as Peter Frampton, saxophonist Clarence Clemmons of Bruce Springsteen's Street Band and Jack Bruce, bassist for the '60s band Cream."
- 21.4.1989: Daily Hampshire Gazette from Northampton, Massachusetts, Page 69:"THERE IS A RUMOR going around that Ringo Starr- may soon embark upon his first-ever solo tour Besides Starr on drums the band would consist of the aforementioned Walsh and guitarist Peter Frampton Jack Bruce on bass Clarence Clemons on sax and Billy Preston on keyboards"
- 26.4.1989: Daily News from New York, New York, Page 6: "Though still just a rumor, we hear guitarists Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton, bassist Jack Bruce, keyboard player Billy Preston and Clarence Clemons on sax are signed on. Throw in drummer Jim Keltner"
- 27.4.1989: Hartford Courant from Hartford, Connecticut Page 478: "Ringo Starr is reportedly putting together his first tour since drumming with the Beatles in 1966. The tour, to note the 25th anniversary of the "Pepsi Generation" ad campaign, is to include a band featuring Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Jack Bruce, Clarence Clemons and Billy Preston. It's being produced by oldies concert packager David Fishof"
- 28.4.1989: The Cincinnati Enquirer from Cincinnati, Ohio, Page 41: " Ringo Starr is assembling an all-star band for his tour. The former Beatle will have Bruce Springsteen's favorite saxman Clarence Clemons, guitarist Joe Walsh, bass guitarist Jack Bruce and Billy Preston on organ. The all-Starrs hit the road this summer and, according to River-bend's general manager, Mike Smith, the amphitheater is "very interested in Ringo. We are definitely looking into the possibility of booking him."."
- 28.4.1989: Star Tribune from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Page 46: "Ringo Starr is considering his first solo concert tour. The talk is that sidemen will be Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Jack Bruce, Billy Preston and Clarence Clemons"
- 3.5.1989: The Los Angeles Times from Los Angeles, California Page 36: "Ringo Starr will make his first UJS. concert tour this summer, with a Los Angeles appearance likely in August, sources have confirmed. Exact dates and sites are still being determined, but speculation is centering on theUniversal Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Forum and the Sports Arena. The tour, for which the former Beatles drummer will be backed by guitarist Peter Frampton and former Cream bassist Jack Bruce, is reportedly being produced by David Fishof, who put together the Mon-kees reunion tours, the "Dirty Dancing" concert tour and several other oldies package shows. Fishof was unavailable for comment."

- 7.5.1989: The Sacramento Bee from Sacramento, California page 64: "You've heard about the Stones and Who tours and the possible McCartney tour But the real '60srevisited tour to look for is that from none other than Ringo Starr Billboard reports that Starr once drummer for the Beatles (hey I know some of you know who he is but after all they broke up nearly 20 years ago) will be drumming and singing behind a band that may include Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton on guitars Billy Preston on keyboards Clarence Clemons on sax and — wait for it — Jack Bruce on bass In unwitting preparation for this possible tour"
- 7.5.1989: The Tampa Tribune from Tampa, Florida Page 132: "A Ringo Starr-led outfit called The Generations, reportedly with Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Clarence Clemons, Jack Bruce and Billy Preston, according to Pollstar magazine."
- 12.5.1989: Courier-Post from Camden, New Jersey, Page 52: "The year's most outrageous old-timers tour will be, without a doubt, the one by the act known as Seven Guys Who Like to Rock V Roll. According to our spies, the Seven Guys are: Ringo Starr (drums); Jack Bruce (bass); Billy Preston (keyboards); Clarence Clemmons (saxophone) and guitarists Stephen Stills, Dave Mason and Joe Walsh. The date for the classic rock extravaganza is Aug. 4 Gigging with Ringo will be: Dr. John; guitarist Joe Walsh; drummer Levon Helm and bassist Rick Danko of the Band

- 16.6.1989: Detroit Free Press from Detroit, Michigan Page 32: "Contrary to rumors in the music ! press, rocker Joe Walsh, who J performs Saturday night at Hart Plaza, will not be the guest second ' guitarist on the Who s upcoming I U.S. tour. The fairground's Aqua Stage is going to be full, although the roster also is being kept a secret.
